The use of natural bedding materials in contained environments is increasing, with animal welfare and accompanying regulations being the drivers. Effective decontamination of these materials can be a challenge due to the nature of the materials, large quantities and varying soil loading. This presentation will review the applications and needs and discuss available methods to approach the decontamination.
